Having a home that looks presentable is important to you, but you have likely struggled to keep up with the cleaning of your home because you have a lot of other things going on, such as work and child-related responsibilities. You may not have nearly enough time to get it all done, even on those days when you are off from work. However, you can follow these easy house cleaning tips that can make such a difference while helping you stay on track with the cleanliness of your home.
Sanitize the Sink in Your Kitchen
Get in the habit of sanitizing your kitchen each day. The easiest way to do this is to cover the drain with a plug, allow water to fill up inside your sink, and then pour about a cap full of bleach into the water. Allow the water and bleach mixture to sit inside the sink for around 15-20 minutes before pulling the drain and letting the water go down. It will make your sink smell and look better while killing any bad germs that are present.
Use a Simple Scrub on Your Stove
When preparing meals, it is not uncommon for food and oil to spill on the stovetop. You might not even notice some of the spills when you are in the middle of preparing a meal. When you have stains that appear to be stuck on the stovetop, apply a small amount of baking soda and vinegar to those areas and then gently scrub away at them to get rid of the gunk. You may have noticed that the metal components that cover the burners are also covered in grime. You can fill up your sink with dish soap and hot water, place the metal components in the water, and let them soak for at least an hour before you attempt to wash them with your scrub brush. It will make it that much easier for you to get rid of the grime and get your stove looking clean again.
Get Into a Routine When Washing Bed Sheets
Try to get into a good routine of washing your bed sheets at least once a week. They will get dirty and collect dust and oil if they are not cleaned regularly. You can even give your mattress a quick cleaning by sprinkling baking soda on top of it, letting it soak in for 30 minutes, and carefully vacuuming the baking soda away with a handheld vacuum cleaner.
Set a Simple Schedule
Make a cleaning schedule that you can stick to. You can tackle one room a day or a few small tasks each day. If you have a schedule that you can stick to, you can keep some problems under control instead of having so much cleaning to do at the end of the week.Cascade Maids can help you get your cleaning schedule on track.
